Naturalists

Naturalists make science fun and meaningful! Through their enthusiasm and guidance, Naturalists make it possible to for each student to be able to see and touch even the smallest find.

Because we believe that small group teaching allows students to have a memorable experience, we need volunteers to help teach both at Bluff Lake and in the classroom. Volunteer Naturalists work alongside staff in the classroom to help prepare students for their field trip. At the site, Naturalists lead small groups of students on nature walks and guide them through program related activities.

No experience is needed - just a love of the outdoors and willingness to work with children. Naturalists work one morning/week throughout the school year. All training is provided on-the-job.
