Bluff Lake Birders

Calling all bird lovers! Its time to break out those binoculars and join Bluff Lake Naturalist, Carl Wells, as he guides you through the trails at Bluff Lake in search of avian adventures. Throughout the recorded history of Bluff Lake, over 130 different species of birds have been spotted at Bluff Lake.

Join Carl Wells the first Saturday of every month from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m.

Don’t miss your chance to learn from an expert! No experience is necessary. Bring your binoculars and bird book if you have them. If you don’t have the equipment, we have plenty to share.

 

June's bird walk report: Activity for our June walk was excellent. Warm sunny day with water in the pond. Sightings were: White Pelicans Flying, Cormorants, Great Blue heron flying over. Snowy Egret, Canada Geese, Mallards, Cinnamon Teal, Red Tailed Hawk, Swainson's Hawk, Kestrel, Killdeer, Spotted Sandpiper, Mourning Dove, Belted Kingfisher, Northern Flicker, Western Kingbird, Black Billed Magpie, Crows, Cliff Swallow, Black Capped Chickadee, House Wren, American Robin, Starling, Yellow Warbler, Red Winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, Brown Headed Cowbird, Bullock's Oriole, House Finch, American Goldfinch.
